Robyn’s Green Smoothie
2 c. filtered water
1/2 to 1 t stevia or 1/4 c. agave (if like sweet flavor)
1/4 whole lemon including the peel which is high in flavanoids
2-3 T. fresh, refrigerated flax oil–can also add equal amount of coconut oil
Gradually add greens:
a few handfuls of washed greens: spinach, chard, kale, collards are mainstays
turnup, mustard, dendelion greens, arugula–use more sparingly as they are spicy and bitter
lettuces and beet greens are also good to use freely
purslane if you can find it or lambsquarter leaves, morning glory, and thistle sparingly due to strong taste
Puree greens mixture until smooth.
Gradually add fruit until well blended:
1-2 bananas
1-2 c. frozen mixed berries
Any other fruit to taste: pears, peaches, apples, orange, apricot, mango, papaya, cantaloupe, pineapple, etc.
Makes approximately 8 cups!
