There’s some intriguing companies out there doing very weird things around our foods we all should be aware of. Ventria Bioscience has been given pre-approval by the USDA for planting and harvesting a rice product in Kansas that would be used as a yogurt and granola added “nutrient” to treat diarrhea. So what you say? Interesting stuff? Commentary from Organic Consumers report tells it like it is: When planted in an open field environment, these rice fields using human immune proteins have the potential to contaminate conventional rice fields where the crops are being grown for consumer food products.
Previous plans to plant this rice stuff in Missouri were challenged vigorously by big boy rice buyer Anheuser-Busch. They threatened to boycott all rice grown in the state.
Mike Adams commentary: “These experiments with genetically modified crops are, in my view, extremely dangerous and may ultimately lead to a genetic Chernobyl that could devastate the U.S. food supply. Such crops should never be allowed to be planted in the open.”
